Project Amigurumi

octopusOur advisor, Dr. Kristen Renzi, runs the vending machine on the 3rd floor of McDonald Library. This vending machine provides students and faculty with a little place to showcase their little craftwork. So naturally, we decide to take on the opportunity for ourselves.

Over fall break, our goal was to make one amigurumi animal each. Amigurumi is a popular form of crochet. Amigurumis are plush figures of animals, plants, and other inanimate objects. And they are unbearably cute.

We’ve made a total of 6 amigurumi animals. 5 of them were octopuses. And 1 was a bee. All of them are adorable.

This will be an ongoing project for the club. If you would like to continue to make amigurumis to sell in the vending machine, please let Gabby or Lindsay know.
